Share Your Story - Lost Loved Ones

Due to my work with the U.S. Army, tracing the families of soldiers still unaccounted for from Korea, WWII and Vietnam (and all orphan heirloom rescues I do), I've gotten surprisingly good at locating the living. Do you have someone in your life who's gone missing? A distant cousin you wish you could find? A favorite girl friend from your school days? An old military buddy you'd like to talk to again?

If there's someone you'd like to try to reconnect with, please use this form to tell me about it. Due to volume, I can't tackle all cases, but just because you don't hear from me immediately doesn't mean I'm not on the case. I tend not to contact submitters unless I need clarification or until I'm fairly optimistic I can find the lost loved one.

How did you find this site?
I'd really appreciate it if you'd take a moment to tell me which search engine, other web site, newspaper article, etc. led you here:

Before you tell me your story, please fill me in on a few basics. Please briefly tell me who your lost loved one is and why you want to find them:
What places are associated with this person (e.g., where they were born, grew up, went to school, were last known to have lived, etc.)?
What dates are associated with this person (e.g., date of birth (even approximate), year of graduation, years in military service, date of marriage, time last heard from, etc.)?
What names are associated with this person (e.g., previous or last known married names for women, nicknames, names of siblings, parents, children or other relatives and friends, etc.)?

OK, now please tell me anything else you might know about this person, such as the fact that they were adopted, usually went by their middle name, worked as a plumber, played in a band or whatever. Sometimes the tiniest of clues can help!

If possible, it might help if you could attach a scanned image associated with the item, such as the writing on the back of a photo or some of the family details contained in a Bible. Use these fields to attach up to 3 images. If you have more, please send them by email and reference this Lost Loved Ones submission.
